Sam Kutyauripo
Sam is originally from Zimbabwe and moved to Canada over 8 years ago to pursue an education and career rooted in sustainability. Sam is based on the traditional unceded territories of the xÊ·mÉ™θkÊ·É™yÌ“É™m (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and sÉ™lilwÉ™taɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.

"In this age of ecological grief, undertaking the topic of climate change can seem overwhelming and quite frankly impossible at times; however, it is crucial to concentrate efforts on your sphere of influence. With this in mind, YCCBC is an organization seeking to empower young people with the knowledge and tools necessary to make tangible changes in local communities."
Sam believes it is important to shed light on how environmental stressors disproportionately impact various marginalized communities.
She is also a lover of good food and enjoys cooking for people.
